The Trays are oval in form with raised sides and an applied beaded rim. The centre of each tray is engraved with an unusual Crest of an ostrich holding a key in its mouth. The Trays are in excellent condition and are very well marked on the reverse. Henry Chawner made very few trays and salvers and they do not appear often from his workshops. This type of tray lend themselves to a variety of uses on the dining table.
