The sides are beautifully pierced and engraved with unusual "Raying" Flowerheads in roundels, as well as flower head details in arches. The sides are also engraved with floral garlands and prick dot bands. The cover is slightly domed, an unusual feature for Hester, and is also engraved with prick dot bands and wriggle work designs.
