This very fine Wax Jack stands on a circular base with stepped raised rim decorated with an applied beaded band. This example has a circular wax cutter and drip pan with beaded edge. The scissor action arms open the cutter and are decorated with bright cut engraving and scrolls. The wax is coiled around the central shaft which terminates in a beaded acorn shaped finial. The base is engraved with an unusual contemporary Crest, which is that of the Brooke family. The Wax Jack is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the underside of the base and with the maker's mark on the arms.
