This fine Spoon is modelled in the elegant slender Old English Pattern.  The top of the stem is engraved with an unusual contemporary raying shell Crest and this piece displays a good bowl, with thick tip to the end.  The spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse.  George Smith & William Fearn were very fine flatware makers working in London during this period.
