The Vinaigrette is broad rectangular in form with cut corners. The cover is engraved with an outer bright cut border and central cartouche containing a contemporary script initial. Both the base and sides are engraved with prick dot bands. The interior displays a most unusual grille, with a basket of flowers flanked on each side by an exotic bird.
