A very rare George III Concentric Vinaigrette made in London in 1800 by William Parker

£1,350

As you will appreciate, it is unusual to find Vinaigrettes from this early date, as very few were made in the 18th century.  This example has a very rare circular form, the cover and base decorated with concentric designs and the sides with reeding. The interior displays very fine gilding and a beautiful and very fine grille pierced and engraved with an outer band of arrow heads enclosing a central stylised flower head surrounded by a band of trailing floral motifs.  The Vinaigrette is in excellent condition and is fully marked in the base and with an additional maker's mark and sterling mark on the inside of the cover.

Diameter: 1.1 inches, 2.75 cm.

Depth: 0.4 inches, 1 cm.
