An exceptional George III Silver Gilt Curved Pocket Snuff Box made in Birmingham in 1818 by Joseph Willmore.

The Snuff Box has a substantial form and curved design which is engraved on the sides and base with crisp scale designs, around plain linear bands. The hinged cover is inset into the top and displays a raised border of flower heads and foliate motifs. The centre of the cover also displays a scale work engraved panel surrounding a plain rectangular cartouche engraved with a contemporary Crest. The interior is very well marked and the condition and quality of this piece is exceptional. This is the first time we have seen this specific design. A very rare and desirable box.
