The Snuff Box is plain in design and rectangular in form, with rounded ends. The base and cover display protruding bands and are engraved with a contemporary Crest. The box has a pull off cover and opens up to reveal exceptional interior gilding and crisp hallmarks in the base and on the underside of the cover. The quality is exceptional, however not surprising, as Phipps and Robinson were some of the finest box makers in London at this date. The box is of a very good weight and gauge of silver.
