The Snuff Box is modelled in an unusual curved slender form, with hinged cover. This example is beautifully decorated on the base and cover with unusual trailing foliate motifs on a prick dot ground. The sides of the cover and base display unusual engraved roundels and each end shows a foliate sprig. The sides are also unusually engraved with vertical linear bands. The interior is very well marked and displays exceptional original gilding.
