The Salts are modelled in an attractive "Boat" shaped form and stand on four scroll feet decorated with flat fluting and shells.  The sides rise to a reeded rim and are pierced with a band of arch work containing flower heads.  Each end displays a raying flowerhead in a circular frame.  The sides are also engraved with prick dot bands and two oval cartouches, vacant at the back and containing a contemporary family Crest at the front.  Each is in quite excellent condition, has a blue glass liner and is fully marked on the underside.
