The Teapot is of a good size and is modelled in the oval straight sided form.  Very unusually this piece has corrugated sides, spout, and handle sockets, a form of decoration which is hardly ever seen.  The sides rise to an incuse section and reeded rim and the slightly domed hinged cover is decorated with very beautiful, and crisp, bright cut and prick dot engraving.  This piece has a fruitwood and silver finial and fruitwood scroll handle.  The Teapot is in quite excellent condition and is fully marked on the base and with the sterling mark on the cover.  William Plummer was a prolifc silversmith during the period, specialising in the production of baskets, mustard pots and salt cellars.

Height: 6.3 inches.
