The Plates have a shaped raised rim which is decorated with gadrooning. The border is very finely engraved with a contemporary Armorial, flanked by supporters, with a Coronet above and the Motto Sans Dieu Rien below. The Arms and Motto are those as used by Robert Edward Petre, the 10th Baron Petre and his wife Mary Bridget Howard. The Plates have an exceptional colour and are all well marked.
