The Coffee Pot stands on a cast and applied circular foot which is decorated with a gadrooned band. The baluster shaped body rises to an everted rim. The cast spout is decorated with leaf capping and Rococo scrolls and the fruitwood handle is attached to the main body with a shell moulding. The high domed cover has a gadrooned rim and terminates in an unusual cast lobed bell finial. The Coffee Pot is in excellent condition and possesses a good colour. It is fully marked on the side of the main body and with the sterling mark on the cover. The front of the main body is engraved with a contemporary Armorial, with Crest above, surrounded by a Rococo shell, scroll and foliate spray cartouche. The Arms are those of the Grubb family of North Mimms Parsonage, Co. Hereford.
