The Vinaigrette is of a large size with unusual bombe sides chased with flower heads and leaves. The base is engraved with an engine turned panel around a vacant rectangular cartouche. The cover displays a finely detailed castle top view of Warwick Castle from the New Bridge, with the River Avon in front. The view depicts the castle apartments, with Guy's Tower on the right. The interior is finely gilded and displays a grille pierced and engraved with pluming feathery scrolls and flower heads. The box is of the finest quality, as would be expected from the workshops of Nathaniel Mills, and is in excellent condition. Bombe shaped Vinaigrettes do not often appear on the market.
