The Vinaigrette is broad rectangular in form and is engraved on the cover and base with very unusual scroll work designs on a scratch engraved ground, as well as Neo-Classical oval medallions containing flower heads. The sides are decorated with prick dot bands and the cover also displays an oval cartouche containing script initials. The interior displays exceptional gilding and a most unusual grille pierced with foliate motifs and flower heads surrounded by a herring bone frame, a design we had previously seen. The Vinaigrette is in excellent condition and is very well marked.
