The Vinaigrette is broad rectangular in form with cast bombe sides decorated with flower heads and foliate motifs. The base and cover are engraved with engine turned designs, surrounded by a most unusual raised cast frame of shells, winged scrolls, flower heads and foliate motifs. The centre of the cover is engraved with a vacant rectangular cartouche. The interior displays original gilding and a beautiful grille, pierced with pluming scrolls and flower heads. In very crisp, excellent condition.
