This very rare pocket Snuff Box has a curved form and is decorated all over with crisp engine turned designs. The cover displays a rectangular cartouche engraved with a contemporary Crest and a cast floral and foliate thumb piece. Each end is most unusual decorated with a cast hunting scene. One end with a detailed pheasant hunt and the other a fox hunt. The interior displays exceptional interior gilding. This is the first time we have seen this specific design. A similar box by the same maker is illustrated in Silver Boxes by Eric Delieb 2002 Edition, Plate 99, page 48.
