The Snuff Box is realistically modelled as a leather bound book, with silver clasp and gilded leaves. The cover and base display an outer border of scrolls and ovals and the name Ann Richards, Exeter, 1817. The spine is decorated with linear bands and raying roundels. The attention to detail is exceptional, as the inside has also been marbled, as is seen on Georgian books. The box is in quite excellent original condition.
