This rare spoon illustrates Matthew Linwood's take on the tea leaf design, with a finely detailed textured bowl and a plain vein running the length of the bowl. This piece has a plain twisted loop handle and is very well marked. A similar example is shown in "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie, Plate 59, Figure f. This design was peculiar to the workshops of Linwood and examples do not appear on the market often.
Length: 2.75 inches, 6.88 cm.
