This example is referred to as the "Kidney" Caddy Spoon as the bowl is shaped like a kidney with raised sides. The bowl is engraved with an unusual band of wriggle work, on a scratch engraved ground. The handle is decorated with trailing foliate designs and a vacant oval prick dot cartouche. This was a design mostly made in the workshops of Cocks and Bettridge in Birmingham and a similar design can be seen in "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie, Plate 50.
Length: 1.5 inches, 3.75 cm.
Width of the bowl: 1.75 inches, 4.38 cm.
