The Caddy Spoon has an attractive egg shaped bowl with raised sides pierced with lozenge shaped motifs and displaying a shaped rim.  The bowl is unusually engraved with an acorn motif.  The curved handle is engraved with prick dot and chequered designs and the tear drop shaped cartouche is engraved with the contemporary initial "N".  The spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse.  A near identical example, by the same makers, is shown on Plate 50, figure b, of "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie.

Length: 2.9 inches, 7.25 cm.

Width, across the bowl, 1.45 inches, 3.63 cm.
