The Caddy Spoon has a scallop shell bowl, and the handle is most unusually decorated with a bright cut shield shaped cartouche containing a set of contemporary script initials below the Prince of Wales Feathers, as used by the heir to the throne, at this date being Prince George Augustus Frederick, later King George IV. The Spoon is very well marked on the reverse and is in excellent crisp condition. George Wintle had workshops in Glasshouse Yard, Aldersgate Street, when this piece was made. His mark has been seen on Caddy Spoons over the years.
Length: 2.9 inches, 7.25 cm.
Width of the bowl: 1.5 inches, 3.75 cm.
