The Caddy Spoon has a wide bowl which is pierced with scrolls and tear drop motifs, the same as is seen in the bowls of mote spoons. The unusual, wide, handle is beautifully decorated with bright cut and prick dot designs around a vacant cartouche. This example is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse of the handle. This spoon was formerly in the most famous of all caddy spoon collections, this being the Norie Collection, and is illustrated in "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie, Plate 99, figure e.
