The bowl of the caddy spoon is most unusually modelled as a stylised silver limpet shell, with an outer band of bat wing shaping on the exterior of the bowl. This example has a reeded handle, which is bi-furcated where it meets the bowl. The Spoon is very well marked and is in excellent condition. This piece follows the design of the silver mounted natural shell caddy spoons, however instead of using a natural shell, Josiah Snatt has copied the shell form and made the bowl in silver. This is a rare design and it is the first time we have offered one over the years.
