The Salvers are modelled in a shaped circular form and stand on three scroll feet decorated with palm leaves and tiny flower heads. The rim rises to an attractive gadrooned border decorated with anthemion motifs and raying shells flanked by acanthus leaves. The centre of each is engraved with a contemporary Crest. Both salvers are in excellent condition, with a fine colour, and crisp marks on the reverse. The maker's mark of John Bridge displays a crown above denoting his status as a Royal silversmith.
