A very fine & unusual pair of George III Double Bladed Servers made in London in 1802 by William Eley & William Fearn.

The Servers display a plain handle which is unusually engraved with the name "Morgan". The upper and lower blades are very unusually pierced with roundels containing wavy scrolls and central discs decorated with crisp floral sprays and raying flower heads. Both blades also display a vacant oval cartouche flanked by foliate garlands. The edge of each blade is engraved with a double reeded band. The quality of piercing and engraving is very fine and shows no wear. It is the first time we have seen this decorative design and both sections are very well marked. The servers are in excellent condition.
