This very rare example stands on a circular ring foot and the base displays a raised shaped pleated rim. The chamberstick has a spool shaped socket and the detachable nozzle is shaped identically to the base. This piece has a leaf capped scroll carrying handle and the conical extinguisher is decorated with reeding and terminates in a stylised acorn finial. The chamberstick is fully marked on the base and extinguisher and with the makers mark and sterling mark on the nozzle. The base is also engraved with the contemporary inscription O.B. Cintas. The relatively small size of this piece, may indicate that it was for a child.
