A very rare George III Tray of smaller size made in London in 1807 by Solomon Hougham.

This rare Tray is modelled in a very unusual smaller size and is oval in form with a raised reeded border. The two oval reeded side handles are attached to the main body with acanthus mouldings. The centre of the Tray is engraved with a contemporary Armorial, with Crest above and the Motto "TRUE" engraved on a banner below. The Arms, Crest and Motto are those of the Patterson. As emphasised, this piece is of a very unusual smaller size and is in excellent condition. The Tray is fully marked on the reverse. Solomon Hougham was a fine maker of holloware from workshops in Aldersgate Street.
