The silver gilt Snuff Canister is of cylindrical form with a screw off cover, decorated with concentric designs, which opens up to reveal a pull-off lid with ball finial.  The quality of production is quite exceptional.  The canister also comes with its original Hanoverian snuff spoon.  Both pieces are contained within their original red velvet lined shagreen container.  All pieces are in excellent condition.  Although unmarked, this piece was almost certainly made in London.
