The work of Wardell and Kempson does not appear on the market often and this caddy spoon is a particularly rare design.  This piece has a shaped circular bowl which is decorated with an outer border of linear designs enclosing a scale work panel, with a cascading lobed canopy above.  The plain old english handle displays a full set of hallmarks on the reverse.  This design of bowl is peculiar to Wardell and Kempson and an identical example, with different handle, can be seen in "Caddy Spoons" by Captan John Norie, Plate 54, figure e.

Length: 3.1 inches, 7.75 cm.

Width of bowl: 1.6 inches, 4cm.
