As you will see from the images, the Teether has a slightly baluster form in the centre and is beautifully engraved with crisp floral sprays, including the English rose, raying flower heads and herring bone bands, executed to the finest standard. This piece has a scalloped section where the coral is attached and chased suspensory ring. The whistle hole and mouth piece are beautifully shaped, and the whistle end displays a wriggle work border around the very clearly struck maker's mark. The Teether is in excellent condition with original gilding.
Length@ 4.15 inches, 10.38 cm.
