The Slice has an unusual rounded triangular blade with feather edge border. The blade displays a central arched section decorated with scroll work and an unusual pierced raying motif. This section is surrounded by a band of pluming scrolls and flowerheads, finely executed, as would be expected of this maker. The cast handle, also has a feather edge and the end is beautifully chased with scroll work. The handle is attached to the blade with a raying shell moulding. The reverse of the blade is engraved with a contemporary Crest and is very well marked. This piece is in excellent condition and the top end of the blade displays a wavy edge, decorated with a reeded band
