The Salt Cellars stand on a circular stepped pedestal foot decorated with a horizontal herring bone band. The main body has a baluster form and rises to an evrted rim decorated with lobing. The interiors are finely gilded and the front of the main body is engraved with a contemporary Armorial surrounded by a crossed branch cartouche, with tied ribbons above. The Arms are those of Gifford with Chaloner or Yellowley. Both are very well marked and are in excellent condition, not having seen much use over the years.
Height: 2.5 inches, 6,25 cm.
Diameter at the rim: 3.85 inches, 9.63 cm.
Weight: 12.5 oz.
