A very fine George III Salver made in London in 1786 by John Hutson.

The Salver is broad rectangular in form and stands on four panel feet with a reeded border. The raised edge has cut corners and also displays a reeded band. The Salver is beautifully engraved with an outer border of trailing vines and grapes, flower heads in ovals and floral garlands. The centre is engraved with a drapery mantling cartouche surrounding a shield engraved with script initials. This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse.
