The Jug stands on a domed circular foot decorated with reeding and beading.  The tall baluster shaped body rises to an everted rim and the cast "sparrow beak" spout has a pendant drop below.  This piece has a scroll handle and is very well marked in the foot.  This is the first time we have seen a beaded sparrow beak jug and this was made in the workshops of the rare silversmiths, Thomas and Richard Payne.  The Jug is in excellent condition.
