The Candlesticks are of a large size and stand on circular bases. The bases, tapering stems and tulip shaped sockets are all decorated with very unusual reeding, the first time we have encountered this unusual design. Both candlesticks have a removable nozzle, with a reeded edge. The bases are loaded with mahogany, which is always a sign of quality of production. The bases and nozzles display a full set of hallmarks and both candlesticks are of the finest quality and in excellent condition. Some of the finest candlesticks, of innovative design, were made in Sheffield during this period.
