The Mustard Pot is rectangular in form with canted corners and reeded bands at both the rim and the base. The sides are engraved with a band of stylised foliate motifs and flower heads, in addition to two vacant cat cornered cartouches. The slightly domed cover terminates in a Neo-Classical urn finial and is engraved with a number of prick dot bands. The Mustard has a reeded scroll handle, star cut blue glass liner and is fully marked on the base and with the sterling mark on the cover. The Mustard Pot also comes with a Scottish Celtic point spoon made by Alexander Henderson in Edinburgh circa 1790.
