The Mustard Pot is modelled in the Drum form, with a spreading reeded base and beaded rim.  The sides are pierced with vitruvian scroll bands, vertical pails and stylised flower heads in ovals.  The sides are, in addition, engraved with various prick dot bands.  The hinged cover is engraved with a family Crest and an outer border of prick dot designs.  This fine example has a scroll handle and fan shaped pierced thumb piece.  The Mustard Pot has a blue glass liner and is in excellent condition, with a full set of marks on the base and a sterling mark on the underside of the cover.

Height, to the top of the thumb piece: 2.9 inches, 7.25 cm.
