The Mustard Pot is oval in form and has a reeded base and beaded rim. The sides of the main body are pierced with vitruvian scrolls and flower heads in roundels, as well as being engraved with floral garlands. The hinged cover is engraved with bright cut borders and a central navette shaped cartouche, containing contemporary script initials. The Mustard Pot has a scroll handle and pierced fan shaped thumb piece. This example is fully marked on the base and with the makers mark and sterling mark on the cover.
