This fine Salver is circular in form and stands on four unusual cast legs, decorated with bat wing fluting and displaying a ball foot. The main body rises to a stepped rim which is decorated with a beaded band. The centre is beautifully engraved with an unusual contemporary griffin Crest holding a sword. This is surrounded by an oval reed and tie cartouche, within a beaded frame. The Salver is of a very good gauge and weight and displays crisp marks on the reverse.
