This very fine Vinaigrette is unusually modelled as a travelling trunk and is decorated all over with wriggle work bands on a scratch engraved ground. The interior is finely marked and gilded and displays a grille with unusual central filigree oval panel. The work of Wardell & Kempson is rare and, when seen, their boxes are often of very unusual designs, as seen with this piece.
