The Vinaigrette is octagonal in form and the hinged cover is engraved with an unusual chequered design and the sides with prick dot bands and arrow head motifs. The base is engraved with an octagonal prick dot band, around an outer tear drop frame. The cover opens up to reveal a finely gilded interior and rare filigree grille.
