The beautiful Sauce Ladles are modelled in the rare Carrington Shield pattern and have shell bowls and feather edge engraved handles. The top of the stem displays the raised Rococo shield which is engraved with the contemporary initial C. This pattern was first produced in the early 1770s, therefore these ladles represent an early example. This pattern was not made in great quantity and examples are scarce. Each piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse, with a crisp set of bottom marks.

Length: 7.1 inches, 17.75cm.
