This fine set of six Ladles are made in the fiddle pattern and have long elegant stems and circular bowls. The top of each stem is engraved with a contemporary Crest with the Motto Forward above. In heraldic terms, the Crest is a human heart ensigned with an Imperial Crown, between two wings. The Crest and Motto are those as used by Sir Charles Douglas, 6th Marquis of Queensberry.
