The Box is finely modelled as a Book and the side is engraved to simulate the spine. The cover and base display bands of bright cut and prick dot designs and the interior is very well marked. This is an exceptionally rare example as it contains a green leather bound book, contemporary with the silver box. The book is a miniature copy of Small Rain Upon the Tender Herb.
