The Snuff Box is of an unusually small size and was most probably made for a Lady. The sides and base are engraved with various prick dot borders and the cover with pretty foliate bands on a prick dot ground. The centre displays an oval cartouche which is engraved with a set of contemporary initials. The interior is very well marked and displays fine original gilding.
