This very unusual spoon is modelled in the rare Hanoverian, Fiddle & Thread Pattern, which is double struck. The spoon is of an exceptional gauge and weight and is engraved on the reverse with a contemporary Armorial surrounded by a cartouche of drapery mantling. The Arms are those of William Thomas Beckford, 1760-1844. This piece is of a very unusual design and is in excellent condition.
