The Chamberstick has a circular base, with raised rim decorated in the Storr manner with gadrooning, anthemion motifs, as well as Rococo shells, flanked by acanthus foliage. The central shaft is decorated with lobing and rises to a fluted "tulip" shaped socket. The detachable nozzle displays a border decorated with the same designs as seen on the base. The side handle is decorated with leaf capping and also displays a raying anthemion motif. The conical extinguisher has an "S" scroll handle, which can be attached to the handle. The base, nozzle and extinguisher are all engraved with a contemporary Crest and also each displays a full set of hallmarks. The base is also engraved with the workshop pattern number. This piece is of the outstanding quality expected from the Storr firm and is of a very good weight. Chamber Candlesticks are rare by Paul Storr, as he produced very few over his career.
