The Sauceboats stand on three unusual foliate pad feet with shell, scroll and bead legs. Both pieces display a gadrooned rim and a wide lobed section on the lower half of the main body. The elaborate scroll handle is decorated with leaf capping and the section, under the lip, is engraved with a contemporary Crest. Both pieces are in excellent condition and are fully marked on the base. This is the first time we have seen this very unusual design and the quality is outstanding, as would be expected from this maker.
