The Snuffer Tray is modelled in the Neo Classical tradition and has a very unusual waisted design. The rim is decorated with applied gadrooning and the sides are pierced with plain vertical pails, arch work and cross motifs. This piece displays a carrying handle which is decorated with leaf capping and the silver base is engraved with a contemporary Crest. The tray is of exceptional quality and gauge, one of finest examples of the period we have offered. The base is loaded with fruitwood and displays a crisp set of hallmarks.
